Everybody that visited the presentation of the show apartment at Arte Galeriimaja noticed the stabilized moss installation as well as the beautifully expressive paintings on the walls of the building’s vestibule. These original paintings were made especially for the Arte Galeriimaja by talented Elina Kasesalu. They will be creating an enjoyable atmosphere not only in the vestibule but all the common areas in the building.

Elina Kasesalu is a versatile artist who studied artistic design at the Art school of Tartu and graphic design at Estonian Academy of Arts (which is situated only 10-minute walk away from Arte Galeriimaja). Today she is keeping herself busy with illustrating, painting, graphic design, photography, and videography.

Elina has been painting more actively for the last 6 years. Her paintings are often decorative and the notable common feature is that women and natural elements are often depicted there. If you’d ask her about how do the paintings come to life, she wouldn’t be able to give you a straight answer as she doesn’t like to limit herself creatively, therefore she’s done paintings that are created first in her head and then on canvas, and also paintings that have evolved during the work.

All the paintings Elina has done for Arte Galeriimaja will be available for admiring once the building is finished. Until then you can see the first three in the vestibule and in the show apartment.
